Summer To Do List for the Solo Living
We are well in the summer! This is my favorite time to spend outdoors. I wanted to create a fun summer to-do list. Being single for a while has taken its time to get used to. It is hard when you are alone all the time enjoying life. But I wanted to make the most of it. I know that this is a season that eventually will pass. A thought that has helped me during this time was, God wouldn’t give me something I can’t handle. I found being single after marriage was harder than never being married before. You grow used to share moments with someone. However, I knew reminiscing on the past was stopping me from enjoying my present. Opening up about my single life is a topic I wanted to keep personal, however many of you reached out to me and I soon realized I wasn’t the only facing these challenges.
I truly believe the strongest people, are those that learn to heal their mind, body, and soul by themselves. It isn’t an easy task to truly be comfortable to sit in silence alone with nothing but your thoughts. If Psychology has taught us anything is that we are social creatures. We need human connection. Isolation can lead to mental illness.
I know it isn’t ideal to have people around all the time, I hope this list will keep you motivated to still enjoy the special season.
I hope that my platform can be the hub of inspiration and healing, During this time, I did one of my favorite things (which you will find on the to-do list) and had a photoshoot that inspired a new collection of prints- The Secret Garden collection. I hope you enjoy it and can feel my passion for self-love in it.
