Gift Guides for Comfort and Seasonal Depression (MIND,BODY+HOME) + Fall Recap Life Lessons

Hey beautiful souls! Fall is coming to an end and it makes me a bit sad, but I blame it on seasonal depression and the sun leaving us at 4 pm!

I wanted to do a recap of how the season went for me, I am still holding on to the last few weeks left ( don’t want to put away my pumpkin decor). However, I am mentally and physically preparing for the longer and colder nights. I know how I tend to get around the winter, seasonal depression hits me hard. But before we jump into that I want to go into my Fall retreat reflections. This has been by far the best Fall yet!

I visited the Getaway House again and took my friend/business partner Sara who is also our Karama Yoga instructor.

FALL REFLECTIONS:

In my Fall Refresh blog post, I created a Fall To-Do List. I felt the pressure to achieve everything on the list. Forgetting the main purpose of the list in the first place and that was to reset my mind, body, and home! As I finished everything on the list, I soon realize that it is not about the destination it is about the journey. You have enough time to do the things you want in life, don’t let other people’s timelines define yours.

I talk about it a lot more in detail on my latest Youtube video. WATCH HERE:

Now on to the more serious topic, SEASONAL DEPRESSION *insert dramatic music"

During the winter, as the daylight shortens, my mood slightly changes. Luckily, throughout the years and tons of research, I learned ways that helped me take SAD under control.

The most important factor I would like to stress is COMFORT. If there is any season, I would spend time making myself comfortable it is winter.

I talk about more of the symptoms of SAD (seasonal affective disorder) here.
